Compare that to what he said today about his current support on gay marriage. His statements today are not the disturbing part, the fact that he claimed to hold to two opposing beliefs is. He is either using the Christian voting block, or the gay/lesbian voting block. Either way, he is pandering to one or the other. Put this together with his newly signed law that NO ONE can protest in his presence (a direct violation of The Constitution)…to do so is a FELONY.

I am horrified at what people think they can get away with under the cope-out heading of “free-speech.” We do NOT have total and complete free speech, that is a myth. We have freedom of REASONABLE speech. Yell “FIRE!” in a crowded movie theater and see how “free” your speech is. Joke about a bomb in school or the airport and see how “free” you are from your speech. Words are to be used responsibly, and there is NO excuse, no race, no religion, no political agenda or ideology that gets a pass. I don’t care what or who your attracted to, the color of your skin, the “R” or “D” that you put after your name, or what you believe. Be respectful. Be courteous. Be kind. Speak in a manner you wish to be spoken to. If you can’t muster any of those, then please keep your mouth closed and your opinions to your self. Disagreeing CAN be done respectfully - give it a try.
Ok. As I try to stay “objective” (which I personally believe to be a myth created by the world’s first reporter), I am struggling. If President Obama says he is for the “Middle-class”, and he has supposedly given “health care to every American”…two questions: 1. Why has my (adoptive) daughter been DROPPED by not one, but TWO doctors mid-treatment BECAUSE of the President’s health care (which America’s over-overwhelmingly did not want passed). My daughter is 19. Because she is not biological, I can not get her on my insurance - no matter what some of you may say, it can not be done. Though the actions of the Drs are un-ethical (in my opinion), they will NOT continue or finish care, and they will tell you it is because of the new health care laws that are coming into effect. I’m frustrated because I see the government giving away health care, CASH, food, even cell phones to people that pay not one cent in taxes, yet a very real medical issue can not get resolved…and now they put up a “medical pot” house on the corner, literally in one day… What say you Obama supporters about this very real and extremely frustrating problem? Please, someone give a real-world answer - not a “stump speech”… Question #2; Why, if there is supposed to be “Affordable health care for every American” (Obama’s words), why are my premiums so crushingly high (1/3 of my income for health care alone)? His mandates (Dems and Libs don’t get to blame anyone else on this one) have ONLY served to make my premiums go UP, and make the process of seeing my Dr and getting prescriptions even MORE complicated. Needed scripts for my wife are getting extremely expensive…that’s WITH a prescription coverage plan.
Let me be clear, if you work for the government in all it’s forms, are a teacher or have any kind of union backing or get benefits, such as insurance in any form - you do NOT know the full extent of the struggle of full private pay insurance.
I would LOVE some real solutions (like a competitive private market to keep prices lower) - this “health care” legislation has made me afraid to even get on my bike for fear I will get injured and go bankrupt, even with insurance. I do not go to the Dr or chiropractor because I have to save these precious appointment times and finances for my kids and wife. Please, please, explain all this to me. Those of you that think President Obama has done such a great job, please explain why my health care is getting worse, and why my taxes are going up, and up, and up…please explain why you said Bush was an incompetent whatever, yet are absolutely silent now that gas is over $4 a gallon? Are you all as naive as the President to think that by making gas more expensive that will magically make me able to afford a car payment for the not-as-economical- as they think “green” car? which is incredibly expensive, I might add…

Come on, Mr. President, force Iran to either back up their huffing and puffing or shut up. I do NOT want a war of any kind. I am disgusted that Iran can so publically mock my President and it goes totally ignored. Mr. President, you are constantly running your mouth, please stop the fancy speeches and do something for our benefit as a country. People who understand leadership are not impressed by your ability to read a teleprompter (which is fairly impressive, I might add), that is not leadership. Cheering masses does not equal followers. Jesus had cheering masses, and within 7 days they turned on him. I want you to do exactly what you and all the other Dems did to Bush when gas was so high…act, not talk more “Green” stuff…no one has even defined it and all your companies that you held up as models have failed. I want you to pass the pipeline so Americans can work for their money instead of you giving it away in the form of re-named welfare. I want you, Mr. President, to talk and lead the American people back to a sense of national pride. I want you to face Russia and China and tell them we will NOT be bullied! I want you, Mr. President, to lead us to a point where Americans own the United States of America again! I want you, Mr. President to be a strong man that is more concerned with National security than re-election; that goes for all of you…BOTH parties. I want you, Mr. President to enforce Fedral laws, not ignore them. I want you to either have the guts to admit your a Christian or deny it - just pick one OR the other. I want you, Mr. President, to stop apologizing for american greatness, and to stop using it as a stump “catch phrase” for ratings.

I am as middle class as it comes, here is the real deal; since he came into office he has supported “green” companies - nearly all have filed for bankruptcy or gone out of business. When will you admit we only have two extremely effeciant means of transportantion; 1. a bicycle and 2. the internal gas combustion engine. Want to get off foreign oil? Pass the pipeline and create ALOT of jobs! DUGH! Affordable health care? Who are you kidding? My daughter can not get seen since health care passed, Drs literally did not finish care they started. I pay 1/3 of my annual income for Medical Insurance, NO ONE is doing me ANY favors. Since he came into office he says he’s for the “Middle Class,” really? I make 50 grand, roughly, and by executive order, Obama has taken slightly more than $80/week from my checks, and NO ONE can tell me why the money is being taken. Is it because I work for a religious organization? Sure seems like it. To be clear, I get NO benefits, I pay for ALL my insurances and retirements. Gas prices? You Libs went ballistic on Bush when oil was $80/barrel…where is your anger now? Iran? NO ONE on the world stage except Obama who has not one shred of experience thinks Iran can be reasoned with. I am ashamed that my President can be so flagrantly mocked by terroists and it gets NO meaningful response. Props to him for getting Osama! He supports Occupy…naturally, because like Occupy, they both stand for nothing. Free birth control for women? It has ALWAYS been available - ask any high school girl! If your an adult woman and don’t know where to get it, ask your daughter, or better yet, don’t have recreational sex! So, get your pen, cardboard signs and ideology off my freedom of religion, please. I want and expect my government to do nothing beyond that which is outlined in the Constitution - nothing more! I will EARN my own money. And now they want to up milage standards to over 50 miles per gallon, every major auto maker says those cars will be cost prohibitive. Are they listening to those in the business? No. I will NEVER buy a hybrid on principle - as an American, I have a choice. No matter how much our government tries to intrude, the Constitution guarantees me that.
End the war in Iraq? Hardly! He gave in to Iran, nothing more. His reign has been completely unconstitutional, he can be impeached on many of his actions. But no one dare touch our first black president! No, I’m not a racist bigot. I’m a hard working honest American citizen that is being ripped off by my government. Rant and call me names all you want, that will not pay my bills or give back the money that Obama, not congress, has taken from me without cause. What I see and experience disgusts me. College being accessable? Only for illegals. Don’t believe me? Send your non-hispanic teenager to college; student loans have been radically cut. They will actually tell you that they only want kids to persue an AA…call the FASA help line and ask for yourself. Yea well, enough I guess. I have to admit, I don’t get it. I don’t get why a person has to have the Bible mean what they want it, need it, or desire it to mean. Why can’t it mean just what it says? If God is all that the name God implies (and I believe He is), isn’t He big enough to have said it plainly in the Bible? If your Bible is confusing, there is a very simple remedy…get a different modern English translation. People who say, “I think it means…” or “To me it means…” commit the very first rule of interpreting any manuscript - what you think it means is irrelevant. History, context of the writer, the intended ORIGINAL audience all matter, not my personal feelings.
People that want to criticize me about what I do or do not preach, teach, or say from and/or about the Bible…I invite you to give it a try. I own no pulpit, lectern, church, or anything else. I inhabit no “seat of power” nor do I wish to. Instead of picking me apart and taking ONE sentence completely out of context from a 40 - 50 minute sermon - give it a try. Criticism is not a result of insight. Criticism is the result of a critical spirit, period.
