Unite 10-10-10 & Friends
Seekers, un-saved, pre-Christian, and lost, are just some of the names that the church leadership industry have used to describe those people that do not believe that Jesus is the Lord of their life, and accept all that Christianity is supposed to believe. Things such as the Bible as the reliable word of a real and living God. Or that they should be going to church at least once a week and belong to a local church. Maybe they believe in God, but leave open the option for other “god options”; all things that “traditional” Christians would reject. So in an attempt to help the individual Christian express and share their faith, many programs, conferences, seminars and books have been written to help us reach the “un-saved”.
Problem is, according to the experts, we have to identify who are “target audience” is before we can share what we believe with them; hence, all the titles, names, and classifications for those that don’t believe what I believe. I happen to notice one classification missing in all this “expertizing” of the sharing of my faith; that is the classification of friend. I never hear the Christian world describe the “not-Christian” world as friends. Truth be told, I have some very good friends that completely disagree with my faith, live a lifestyle that the Bible I believe in calls sin, yet they are still my friends.
Unite 10-10-10 is a bold step of faith, across the entire Oregon Pacific District Church of the Nazarene to pray for and invite our friends to church. This is not about advancing a religion. It’s ALL about using our local church as a conduit to share our faith and the grace of God with our friends.
